Granfell Tradegy

Our prayers and thoughts are with the people affected in the Granfell Tower fire. May Allah forgive those who passed away and grant them Jannah, and may Allah give patience and ease to the survivors. Female Aalima/Scholar volunteer required

We are looking for a female Scholar / Aalima/ Course leader/ Teacher for our sisters weekly circle and other activities. We are focusing our efforts this term to provide our sisters with a facility to learn and engage with their Masjid, and in return benefit from quality teaching and authentic knowledge. As such, we require a qualified female teacher or leader to champion our efforts.

Location: Beacon Tree Masjid (798 Green Lane, RM8 1YT)
Job Type: Part Time (2-4 hours a week)
Length: 12 weeks minimum (A committment to complete 1 full structured course is a must)
Start Date: immediate

Madrasah Teachers required

Beacon Tree Masjid is determined to deliver the best quality teaching and environment to the children of this community. We have over 160 students attending our weekday and weekend madrasah, and are planning to create more space to accommodate even more students. The profit we generate from the madrasah is reinvested back into the madrasah, in a effort to keep up continuous improvement.

Children are the future of the ummah and we believe in pouring everything in them to bring out their best.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Working with our Curriculum Coordinator
  • Attend teacher training sessions
  • Delivering all classes assigned as per the schedule
  • Deliver all subjects to children through enjoyable, interactive and interesting methods
  • Conduct exams
  • Marking coursework and exam papers
  • Regular meetings with parents
  • Develop lesson plans and materials for teaching
  • Support administrative staff and supervisors

Candidate requirements

  • High level of fluency in Tajweed Ul Qur’an (essential)
  • Basic knowledge of Fiqh (essential)
  • Proficiant in speaking, reading, and writing in English (essential)
  • A recognised Degree in Shari’ah / Arabic Language from an Islamic University (desirable)
  • Extensive teaching experience (desirable)
  • Strong administrative and IT skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Learned, articulate and hands on
  • Excellent organisation skills and an ability to work on their own initiative
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise efficiently
